The Ostrobothnian Regiment – 400 Years
Welcome to a journey through time: The Ostrobothnian Regiment – 400 Years!
From 3–5 July 2026, Oravais will be transformed into a living historical showcase. The Oravais Historical Association invites you to a grand anniversary celebration: 400 years of military history, culture and human destinies. Experience the breath of history up close as we fill the area around Furirbostället with authentic camps, exciting activities and re-enactments from the 17th century to the present day.
The day is full of life and excitement for the whole family! Wander through historical camps and see what life was like in days gone by. Meet Carolinians, Gustavians, civil defence corps and today’s soldiers. Watch military drills, historical crafts and performances. At Furirbostället, Gamlakarleby Auktionskammare is organising a large Antiques & Militaria Market.
During Langradin in Vörå, you can also see parts of the historical army.
