Participatory budgeting 2026 – May the best proposal win! 

Wow, we received in total 70 proposals for how our participatory budgeting funds could be used - thank you! We have selected 10 proposals that will move on to the voting phase.

Voting is open from April 20 to May 13, 2026. You can vote at vora.fi/invanarbudget or by using a ballot available at the library and mobile library.

All municipal residents are eligible to vote. Remember that you must provide your contact information for your vote to be counted!

Proposals:

- New speakers and additional trash cans for the ski slope
- Additional lighting for Vörå Ski Center's fitness stairs
- The establishment of book-exchange points around the municipality
- Establishment of a wildflower meadow for pollinators
- A stargazing site with benches, along with information on constellations available via a QR-code
- Increasing the amount of trash cans and dog waste bins around the municipality
- Building communal grilling areas at various spots where people can meet and grill together
- Building a fishing dock at the Öjskata bridge
- Planting ornamental trees throughout the municipality
- Adding kickers and rails to the downhill skiing slope for the upcoming winter
