Learning Path on Sustainable Development
In the schools of the Municipality of Vörå (grades 1–6, 7–9, and upper secondary), we will work with Agenda 2030 and its 17 global goals in accordance with the learning pathway for sustainable development that has been developed in the municipality. The learning pathway is designed so that several of the 17 global goals are addressed each year in teaching, from early childhood education through upper secondary level, ensuring that each student encounters all 17 goals multiple times during their school years in Vörå.
In addition to the global goals, the learning pathway also includes specific thematic areas within social, ecological, and economic sustainability for each grade level.

At the UN Summit in 2015, the member states agreed on a set of common global goals for work on sustainable development for the period 2016–2030. This action plan is known as Agenda 2030.
The aim is to eradicate extreme poverty and secure well‑being in a way that is environmentally sustainable. Finland strives to consistently support the implementation of Agenda 2030 in all its activities, both nationally and internationally.
