Experience the magic of Mickelsörarna – daily boat trips June 28–July 4!
Join the rental boat Filifjonkan from Stråkaviken to Mickelsörarna – a gem in the Kvarken Archipelago with over 300 islets, reefs, and skerries.
On Mickelsörarna, you can walk along nature trails, take in the view from the lookout tower, enjoy a sunny picnic, or simply sit back and listen to the gentle waves. Naturstationen’s Café Kummelskär is open – here you can treat yourself to delicious salmon soup, as well as sweet and savory treats!
 
Space is limited (12 people per trip), so book your trip well in advance. Each trip requires a minimum of 5 participants.
 
Preliminary schedule:
10:00 AM Departure from Stråkaviken, Österö
12:00 PM Arrival at Kummelskär, Mickelsörarna
2:30 PM Departure from Kummelskär
4:30 PM Arrival back at Stråkaviken
 
You’re welcome to bring your own picnic basket along. The Österö kiosk will be open when you return. Salmon soup at Café Kummelskär (€14.50 per person) is not included in the trip price.
 
Price for the boat ride is €50 per person (free for children under 1 year) – payable at departure by card or cash (exact change preferred).
 
On Wednesday, July 2, we offer a guided tour of Kummelskär with Carina Rönn as your guide. The tour is included in the price, €63 per person (boat trip + guided tour). The tour starts at the tower, where Carina will share stories about the archipelago and its history. We will then walk to the ancient monument area to learn more about them and local fishing traditions. Afterward, those who wish may continue along the trail, while others can take the shortest path back. The tour lasts about 1 hour. The main language is Swedish; a shortened version will be available in Finnish.
 
Trips must be booked in advance, no later than the day before by 5 PM. Please note that the trips are weather-dependent, and personal life vests are required for smaller children.
