How should I, as a teacher, approach teaching sustainable development in Vörå municipality?
1. Select the grade you teach at the top of the website under the "Select Grade" tab.
2. Each grade has its own page. Initially, there's information about the global goals for the specific grade according to the learning path. You can click on each individual goal to read more about it on an informative website. That site offers plenty of tips and ideas for your teaching.
3. In the middle of the page, you'll find the theme areas that you should work on with your grade during the school year, in line with the learning path. To help you easily teach according to the curriculum, we have seamlessly linked each theme area to Vörå municipality's curriculum for the relevant grade. Click on the theme area icon to access the curriculum reference.
4. At the bottom of the page, there's a link to a material bank with various links to interesting sites that can provide you with tips and ideas for your teaching. You can also download the specific grade's poster from there.
Teaching on sustainable development should be continuous throughout the academic year.
As a teacher, you can decide when and how to address the global goals and theme areas in your teaching during the academic year.
In addition to continuous teaching, theme days or project weeks on sustainable development can be carried out during the school year.
A good opportunity for a project week is during the sustainability week in Österbotten, which occurs every fall in week 39.
