Oravais skola - Oravaisten koulu

Oravais skola strives to provide students with a safe school environment, where we recognize that all students are unique individuals with individual needs. 

Our goal is to give students a positive perspective on school and schooling.

Oravais skola has an international character with students from different cultures. We aim to be an inclusive and open school where all students, regardless of background, can grow. We want to show understanding for each other's cultures in our multicultural school. We collaborate – together we succeed best.

Starting from the academic year 2024-2025, Oravais skola will be co-located with Oravaisten koulu. Great emphasis is placed on the joy of learning new languages and collaborating across language boundaries. The schools collaborate in teaching, have joint recesses, and organize joint Christmas and spring celebrations.

This year, our school is focusing on promoting well-being, young entrepreneurship, and movement within the school.

We also want to emphasize and highlight environmental awareness, sustainable development, and entrepreneurship.

Other focus areas include:

• Mother tongue and mathematics, where we actively work to strengthen students’ basic skills.
• Physical education: Exercise and health are important parts of the school’s activities.
• Music: Music holds a prominent place in our school. Students are encouraged to actively engage in music-making.
• Visual arts: We want to emphasize the beauty around us!
• Finnish: Of course!
