The Seed Library

Did you know you can borrow seeds from the library - just like books? Every library in Vörå has a seed library where you can pick up, swap, and drop off seeds completely free of charge. It's an easy way to try out new plants, share your own favorites, and help build a sustainable, greener community. 
 
How it works  
Pick up seeds: Choose from a variety of vegetables, summer flowers, and perennials. 
Drop off seeds: Do you have leftover seeds from past plantings or purchased packets? Share them! 
Put 5–10 seeds in a coffee filter. 
Label the filter with the variety name and collection date. 
Seal it and bring it to the library. 
 
Fill out a plant description 
For each seed type, you fill out a form with information about the plant: name, sowing time, how to grow it, and any other helpful tips for others. The form is available at the library or can be downloaded here, [form]
 
We can't guarantee the seeds will germinate or the quality—but we can guarantee the joy of growing!
