Job Circle

Job Circle (Swe: Arbetspoolen, Fi: Työrinki) consists of 14–18-year-old youths who provide help to private persons and associations (not companies) in Vörå municipality. Activities are coordinated by the municipality’s recreation office.

Suitable jobs include e.g. cleaning, gardening, raking, mowing, weeding, shoveling snow, car washing, walking the dog, running small errands, grocery shopping, window cleaning, baking, watering flowers, and babysitting.

The customer ordering the job may live elsewhere, but the work must be carried out in Vörå municipality.

The primary purpose of Job Circle is to give young people the chance to get work experience, sensible employment, and some pocket money. At the same time, households/associations receive help with various everyday chores.

Work orders can be made via electronic form, by phone, or via email.

  • Order a job (electronic form)
  • by phone: 040-653 2046, Monday–Friday 9 AM–4 PM
  • by email: arbetspoolen@vora.fi

Place your order at least three days before the desired work date.
NOTE! The leisure office staff is on vacation in July. All jobs to be done in July must be booked by the last working day of June.

Describe the task and suggest a preferred time.

We contact local youth who are next in line and suitable for the task. The youth who accepts the job will receive the contact details of the client. The job may last a maximum of 3 hours. You can also book recurring tasks, such as lawn mowing.

Client fee:

  • for youth under 17: €25 (incl. VAT)
  • for youth over 17: €31 (incl. wage-related costs and VAT)

The client must fill in the job report and submit it by the 5th of each month so that the youth receives their salary on the 15th. After that, Job Circle will invoice the client (no cash payments). The municipality reports the salary information to the income register. (Electronic job report under the “Job Reports” tab)

During the school term, jobs are only done in the evenings and on weekends.

Youth in Job Circle are covered by accident insurance. However, if you regularly use Job Circle and pay more than €1,200 in wages per year, the household or association must take out statutory accident insurance. This corresponds to about 60 jobs per year. If you have multiple employees, all wages must be covered under the same insurance. The number of workdays no longer matters, only the total wage amount.

The policyholder must report any work accidents or occupational illnesses within 10 days of the incident.
