All libraries in Vörå are temporarily closed due to a system update
All libraries in Vörå and the mobile library are closed from October 22nd to November 4th due to an extensive system update, which means you cannot loan, return, reserve or renew loans or request interlibrary loans during this time.
The update also affects the online library service www.fredrika.fi where information on available loans is unavailable. After the reopening of the library, it will also take about a week before the online library service returns to normal functionality.
During the update, issues and downtime can occur in our online library services Biblio, Viddla and Pressreader.
The loan period for returned material is extended automatically until the library’s reopening which means that the loans will not expire during the break in service.
The libraries are entirely closed for customers, the self-service library in Maxmo is closed and the mobile library is out of traffic during the break in service.
The library cards will function just like before with the new system and there will be no changes to the online library. However, we recommend the customers to update their personal information and the e-mail address in use.
If you have saved your library loan history, it will unfortunately be deleted during the update. The loan history can be preserved by adding it to the favorites in the online library. The loan history can also be printed out by the library staff if needed. Do this before the break in service.
Interlibrary loans are to be requested before October 10th.
We encourage you to loan books well ahead of October 22nd to make sure you have enough to read at home.
