Through the fault reporting service Virhi, you can report issues related to the municipality's street lighting, roads and sidewalks, sports and recreational facilities, public buildings and schools, parks and green areas, as well as snow removal and sanding. You can also report vandalism and flooding issues, among other things.

Resident initiatives are one of the methods that municipality residents can use to make their voices heard in municipal matters. It's a way to highlight a current issue or problem and draw the attention of decision-makers. Residents under the age of 18 can also submit resident initiatives.
The Municipal Act ensures the residents' right to submit initiatives to the municipality on matters concerning the municipality’s activities. The goal of an initiative is to bring about positive change or development that benefits all municipality residents.
A resident initiative is a freely formulated, written initiative from an individual resident or a group of residents to directly influence the operations or decision-making of their own municipality. The initiative is handled in the municipality by the relevant authority. The originator of the initiative is informed about the actions that the initiative has led to.
