Physical, mental, and social health is part of the core content I1 in environmental studies for grade 6:

  • "Students gain insight into different areas of health, health resources, everyday health habits, mental skills, disease prevention, and self-care skills. They also practice identifying, expressing, and regulating emotions."

 

The goals related to I1 in environmental studies for grade 6 are:

The objectives related to I6 in environmental studies for grade 6 are:

  • M1 to awaken and maintain the student's interest in the environment and in environmental studies, and to help the student realize that all subject areas in environmental studies are important to them
  • M12 to guide the student to observe the environment, human activities, and related phenomena using environmental science concepts, and to develop their concept constructions from various preconceptions so they better correspond to the precise use of these concepts
  • M13 to guide the student to understand, use, and create different models that can interpret and explain humans, the environment, and related phenomena
  • M16 to guide the student in geographical thinking, observing their surroundings and the whole world, and learning to use maps and other geo-media
