Energy and Consumption Habits: Energy Consumption are included in the central content I6 of environmental studies in grade 6:

  • "When choosing content, the protection of nature's diversity, climate change and how it can be limited, sustainable use of natural resources, promoting health, preserving one's cultural heritage, living in a multicultural world, and ensuring global human well-being now and in the future are considered."

 

The goals related to I1 in environmental studies in grade 6 are:

  • M1 to awaken and maintain the student's interest in the environment and environmental studies and help the student realize that all subject areas in environmental studies are important to them
  • M12 to guide the student to observe the environment, human activities, and related phenomena using concepts from environmental studies and develop their concept constructions from various preconceived notions so that they better align with the precise use of concepts
  • M14 to guide the student to seek reliable information, express different viewpoints and justify them, and to interpret and critically assess sources of information and perspectives

K1: "At the same time, students' ability to see things from different perspectives is strengthened, they come up with new ideas, and gradually learn to critically evaluate information."
